Michelle,
Well done. "Patterns of unequal worth" has me thinking about what gets matriculated.
Thanks for sharing this at OSI.

Hi Michelle, this is a nice tanka. It makes one think, for sure your inner voice is well studied and learned. It seems though that that 'book learning' is not very practical for you.

I loved that last line. It could have people thinking about it forever.

A quite tranquil voice,I believe (or is it just the fish on your blog that lead me to believe so?

I am so happy I glanced in here today! So quiet and serene, yet filled with questions. Wonderful work.

I knew you'd write just the perfect one. A really super tanka. I too admire patterns of unequal worth.

Michelle- this tanka is amazing. You have such depth contained within these words. I like that you played with the syllabic content of matriculated to make it fit because the word is perfect. You are indeed measureless!

Love the idea of the voice slipping! The persona becomes totally absorbed in the fragments of the inner voice! Beautiful!
