Manic Monday

What's one new thing you tried this summer that you've never done before? I'd never eaten calamari (deep fried squid) or peppercorn sauce before September 5th. It's delicious.

Last summer I tried rappelling for the first time. It's the most exhilarating thing I've ever done.

What is the one thing you miss the most about summer when it is over? I usually miss having my daughter around all day when she goes back to school. I enjoy the adventures we find ourselves in.

If you could eliminate one source of anger in your life right now, what would it be? Usually when I'm angry I can get over it pretty quickly. It just depends on what I'm angry at.

I did the Tea Party march in D.C., first time I have been a part of anything like that. I did some rapelling in the military, it was very exhilarating.

The long days is what I miss most about summer when it is over.

I can't think of any source of anger in my life, some disappointments sometimes, but not any anger. :0)

It's hard to come up with only one thing....I had a lobster sandwich and went out on a lobster boat in Maine where I traveled for the first time ever, and just this weekend I participated in the March on DC.

It was hard to list only one thing I miss about summer, too, but I would have to say fresh vegetables.

I don't really have anger issues, I do get mad and many times it's stupid people that make me mad.

Michelle, this post of yours got me thinking.

I know there's something I could answer to your first question, but it just doesn't come to my mind.

About summer... the long days, that's what I miss, and the richness of all life around us...

1. I went to a nude beach, visited the Alamo, and began the practice of making mandalas as a form of meditation.

2. Corn on the cob, peaches.

3. I'm actually pretty okay with things as they are right now. If you had asked this question a week ago, I would have given a different answer, but right now there are no sources of anger in my life.

I just wrote about a first in my blog post today - canoeing on Lake Crescent. Also, my husband and I did Lake Ozette which was very challenging. I would have to agree with your reader in that peaches, fresh applesauce, garden veggies are what I miss most - and open windows.

Anger... it takes a lot for me to get that way. Right now I'm angry at an illness - cancer - as my woman friend is quite sick.

I don't know that I tried anything new at all! As a matter of fact, it was a most ordinary summer. I did some things at work that I hadn't done before, and they were successful, but does work count? Not as summer!

Sitting outside on long summer evenings.

Anger? None I want to talk about... ;-)

Oh, I do have one thing I did this summer: I spoke only French when I was in Paris and was able to make myself understood!
