Without Pause

The craving for calamari is upon my tongue as we drive to Olive Garden Saturday along Rt. 68. It's winding, double lane roads afford my eyes to purchase a wooden fence line. I notice the trees are changing color, shadows are searching to warm themselves in the sun and a hawk is perched atop the fence near an abandoned house, field.

We're approaching Paris, KY Drive- In whose playing Halloween II and The Inglorious Basterds starting at 8 p.m. I'm frantically searching for a place to pull over so I can take a picture of the hawk I've just seen. The moment passes without pause. The abandoned house and field are closed off with steel gates.

I've never had calimari. But I love OG's salad.

You have more passion for Squid than do I but I hope it was good. I know that feeling of seeing the perfect frame and then it's gone because I'm in the darn car.

Oh wow - what a night! Hope you enjoyed your dinner - and the hawk, even though you couldn't get a photo.

Very nice, very poetic... In just a few words you gave me the feeling of that ride, past the hawk near the abandoned house. Wonderful!
