Push thirty two shades of
Red, yellow and orange
From your limb
While watching your
Exposed cambium
Suffer winter's boast.
I shall let the wind
Whiffle, whet each leaf,
As they hasten across
Earthen tones and,
Bare difference to
Stretched green-brown
Landscapes.
I shall let the wind
Ache for a new day
And, fresh new leaves.
