moth mullein

COM
The smell of a copycat Carrabba's lentil soup is permeating the house as I type my post tonight for 30 Days Wild, Day 30. The wildflower behind the good fence is a moth mullein. I retouched the image taking liberty of removing the daisy's that had seen better days. I then ran it through an app with painting ability. Hope you enjoy this beautiful flower.

eastern cottontail

This cottontail has been gracing me with its presence for several weeks now. Yesterday evening I was able to capture this video footage of him/ her nibbling on the grasses. I'm sharing with Good Fences and 30 Days Wild, Day 23.

red fox

Sharing this red fox with Good Fences. I spotted him while taking one of my 365 photos. He was a surprise so I wasn't sure I'd get a good shot off. I just kept clicking away as he ran off. As you can tell he was a good distance away in this photo. But, he was kind enough to look straight into my camera.

I walk past this fence when I'm doing my exercises outside. I couldn't resist photographing this for good fences when I began doing my 365 day photo challenge. It reminded me of Christmas colors because of the reds & greens. Even the posts look whitish. Hope everyone is enjoying their new year...

Two mourning doves sitting on the fence in front of my home. Sharing with Good Fences. If you can't hear the video's sound you'll need to pause the nature sounds playing in my sidebar first. Thanks for stopping by.

The smell of honeysuckle was prominent along this good fence (in front of my house) last week. I don't know what this white flower is but it was flowering alongside the honeysuckle, its blossoms smelled just as sweet. If anyone can identify this flower please leave its name in the comments below.

Spring air gently stirs on this sunny day with a blue and gray gnatcatcher sounding in the background. Thick, white clouds like cotton candy slowly move across blue skies. A bumblebee buzzes each purple flower before flying off to his next destination. It's in that moment I squat among these flowers to immortalize their beauty along the black fence line.

Note: I didn't have my camera the day I took this photo but I did have my LG cellphone. So, I stopped and snapped this fence and the beautiful eastern redbud growing beside it. Happy Thursday~

Cardinal

COM
Around 7:30 pm this cardinal and a female came to my bird feeder. He kept flitting around so I was able to capture different poses. Here's one of the photos I really liked from his shoot. I might share another one for Wild Bird Wednesday so don't forget to come back and see what other poses mr. cardinal shared...

Besides a male and female cardinal being at my bird feeder last night there was a mockingbird, red winged blackbird, mourning dove and two different sparrows. Yesterday morning I woke to find four goldfinches and three mourning doves at the back feeder. I think the mourning doves are a mother and her two babies.
