What a fine bird ... yes, I wonder if it is a young one. I hope you see some other lovely creatures this week! It's actually sunny and warm here at long last ... hoping we may have some butterflies in the garden.

I have only seen one in the past few years. We used to have them nesting in the field behind our house. Have killdeer always been in your area?
