rock climbing

Hardest challenge from my bow weekend was this rock climbing wall which stands at 35 ft and sports a zip line, top left. Closer I got to the top my arms became jelly, my heart raced and I was tired. Still... I climbed on. When I made it to the top platform I changed out ropes so I could purchase open air on the zip line. The whole experience was AweSome. What's been your hardest challenge outdoors?

Better you than me - I'm not a rock/wall climber. My hardest outdoor challenges have been the 14ers I've climbed, about 8 of them. (If you're not from Colorado, you may not know what a 14er is - it's a mountain over 14,000 feet in elevation, and there are over 50 in our state. Most of them have trails to the top, so no technical climbing or ropes are required.)

Oh my goodness! I'm so impressed. My son loves rock climbing, but it's not something I've thought seriously about. :-)

Wow, that's impressive. Not something a person afraid of heights would be good at, I'm guessing. ;<)

Well done!

Yes, rather you than me! Amazing! But what a sense of achievement.

That's so cool! My knees are so bad now that I'd have to rely almost completely on upper body to get up that wall.

I think my toughest nature challenge was hiking the trail up the backside of Half Dome in Yosemite. Even though I was in pretty good shape when I did it in my late 20s, it was still pretty dang tough.
