Commenting Drives...

As most of you know from a quick note  I had trouble commenting on some of your blogs. I have since found a solution for commenting on Blogger's embedded comment forms. My current browser is Mozilla Firefox.  I love it but sometimes it doesn't function well with websites or blogs as I've recently found out. After a suggestion from a fellow blogger/ facebook friend to use Google Chrome I decided to check out my Internet Explore. I'm happy to report this worked. So far I've had no problems.

But, I still can't comment on some Wordpress blogs. My problem seems to be that I deleted my Wordpress blog (thinking this would clear the problem up) before changing my primary email address. So, now I have no access to the Wordpress blog which I didn't use anyway and no way to change the email address associated with it, lol. Does anyone know a way to fix this?? There has to be a way around this issue. I know I could use my personal facebook account to sign in but I don't want to do that. I'd rather sign in using my blog name so as to direct people to my blog instead of my personal facebook account. Anyone have any suggestions??

I wish I could say this was my only technical problem at the moment but, it's not. When we tried to load software for my new Cannon ink jet printer last night we had problems installing. So, we decided to wait until today to work on it. When I turned on my computer this morning I found that I couldn't go to my C or G drives.  I'm a little flustered as that's where I store all my poetry, photos, downloads, etc... Here's hoping my hubby can restore everything while also installing my printer software.

I know how hugely frustrating it is not to be able to comment on blogs. Glad switching to internet explorer helped with the Blogger blogs. Hopefully someone else will have the answer for the wordpress blogs.

Hello there!!! It's so nice to see you again. I used to have trouble with the embed form also. However, Blogger must have cleared up that problem because it works for me now. I used to prefer the pop-up which worked best. I like the embed now because I can reply right under the person who asked the question instead of way down at the bottom. It's funny how I'm using Firefox and it's working best for me. Isn't it the weirdest thing. Well... I'm just glad you're back again. I'll add you to my sidebar so I can see you again.

It shouldn't be so hard, should it? I understand getting flustered with this stuff. It happens to me all the time.

Hopefully you'll get everything squared away and get back to sharing your wonderful poetry and photography with us!

I have a Wordpress a/c, Naquillity and, for that matter, a Typepad one. These enable me to have a very simple blog, largely for the purpose of allowing me to connect to folk easily who don't use Blogger. You can see what I mean here and here. Both these a/cs have links back to my preferred Blogger pages, and that's how I get round it! More passwords though and a little time on setting the other blogs up, but not much! It seems to work for me. As for Firefox, well, it goes through phases ... seems OK for me at present, but there are times when I switch to Chrome or Safari. I do hope this commenting issue will resolve itself for you. I'm so 'un-techie', but could it be a cookie issue, I wonder?

Thanks for the good wishes on the fire. By the way, I use Firefox and have never had trouble (although it does occasionally freeze for 30 seconds when I'm visiting blogs).

I guess if it becomes boring, we'll give it up and go back to using paper and ink! :) Sometimes, I feel like screaming...but then it all comes around again and life is good. It is good to see you back on the 'interweb' again!

I notice that people who have or have had both wordpress and blogspot blogs have trouble commenting. Don't know why that is. Since I have only a wordpress blog, I have never had that problem. Good luck!
