I took this picture back in mid July through my living room window, window screen and some rain. Spruced up with photoshop and voila, three grackles. I think these birds are somewhat scary when you look at them to long. And, I think they're bullies of the smaller birds that come to feed at my feeder. They're foraging for the fallen seeds on this particular day and don't seem to know I'm taking their picture from inside my home. Coastcard, this picture is for you as you'd asked to see what they looked like.
On a different note, I'd like to say my private blog is a work in progress but you're more than welcome to come visit anytime. I'll just need to send you a password for your viewing pleasure. For those of you who are faithful followers of Naquillity I'd like to say I'm sorry for any confusion I may have caused you. Seems I've led some to believe Naquillity will be abandoned for the private blog. No worries, I'll still be blogging here at Naquillity. The new blog is to get to know me and my family on a personal basis. Thanks to those who've already signed into the new blog and left their comments. I've enjoyed reading them.

hee hee..
maybe it was just me that was confused :(
please send the password my way :)
Your grackles look a bit like our scurrying blackbirds! They like to forage in leaves and seem to always be in a hurry! Great shot!
Grackles can be so noisy. Thankfully we've only had one pass through our yard in the last 3 years. :)
Thank you, Naquillity, I feel so privileged to have a photo posted for me! EXCITING!
So now I know what a Grackle is...
I immediately thought on seeing it that it must be a kind of corvid, like our crows ... but a quick Google search indicates that it isn't.
I wonder what will appear next at your feeder!
Great shot of the grackles. They can be very aggressive. I don't like it when they are bullies but then again I guess they have to eat too. Take care and have a good one.
I agree with you, they do look kind of scary. It is the eyes, I think. We are just starting to see passing flocks of starlings and grackles.
I'm not sure I've seen these or not. We have two blackish birds that hang around outside at work a lot. They are kinda scary as they're HUGE.
I commend you on getting three grackles into one frame! I can never seem to manage it. I do have a poem called, "Three Grackles, Bathing". It's actually in my book.
Please send me the link to your private blog. I'd be honoured to be let in!

I don't know that I have ever seen a grackle. The photo is pretty amazing for having been taken through a window!
I will take the password ...grackles are bullies but soon they will be migrating I hope...
