I don't think so. But I tend never to agree with rules. I pretty much go with my heart, and it likes this.

fourwindshaiga honestly, i don't know. it was the only flower of its kind around the wildlife preserve pond that i could see. i tried looking it up in my field guide but haven't come across it yet.
nah, you are way way too hard on yourself... each haiku has a wonderful poetic purpose and this is one of those... the fulfillment of purpose a bud to a bloom spoken in a most lovely fashion... and the photo does exactly as a complement... glad you published this post
