'lowing
God's voice and grace without slant.
NaPoWriMo 2011, day 3
Not without poetry had a photograph prompt today with the words: voicing, shucked & slant. I decided to use only the words.

Shuck this body of sin is good. I would have thought only of corn. Shucking corn and shucking a body is good imagery for my brain. I hope that makes sense.
I used to hear the word used like that when I was a kid.
Good work!
Your use of those prompts in such a short piece blows most everyone else away!
Shuck is such an intense word I think.. like it...
I love that first line, but it reminds me of death. Nice poem - you have a great way with words.
You have a very profound way with words but is shuck primarily an American word as I haven't heard it used before.
You are doing such a good job with the prompts.
Are you okay? You haven't posted in a while. Hope all is well with you. Take care!

The word "shuck" is so dramatic...like an intense slap or wake-up! A powerful piece!
Great word choice, so important when so brief. Made me think ~ Effective!

Love the opening line-- made my mouth water thinking about how it feels to form the words. Happy Tau-Day!
This is excellent, I like the feelings you've conjured up with your words.
thanks to everyone who's stopped by and left comments here. it's been wonderful reading your uplifting words. hope everyone is doing well. have a great day.
brilliant word choices, stunning effect. i know everyone has commented on "shuck", but for me 'lowing is especially evocative.
