A Lone Starling

Thursday evening we came home to find a lone starling inside our basketball goal base. We could hear her flitting around inside and occasionally we saw her poke her beak outside the opening. It wasn't until we turned the goal upside down over a center block that she was able to reach the opening without trouble and fly out. What a great feeling it was for my hubby and I to save that lone starling from certain death. We found out later from our daughter that she had heard it flitting around that same morning but didn't know what it was. So, I'm guessing she was in there all day Thursday before her rescue.
