Turkey Vulture
On my way home Tuesday I saw this turkey vulture eating on a black cat. The cat had been hit by a car several days before. When I passed the vulture it flew up into the tree. So I pulled to the side of the road, walked as closely as the vulture would allow and took its picture. Shortly after this pic was taken he/ she flew off across the field. Isn't it a beaut?

How disgusting! I know it's the way of the world, but still...
One day a few years ago, I was sitting at my work computer. I face the window and the window has a large ledge. A turkey vulture came along and sat on the ledge looking in the window. I grabbed my phone and took a photo. I sent it to my boss who joked something about work being dead boring. :)
I have to say it is, and that is the perfect setting for it. Thanks for not shooting the cat!!

Poor cat...but good for the vulture as long as it was safe....
