Renewed Life

I've been home recovering for a week now and it's getting better with each passing day. I've some bruising and soreness yet to overcome but feel pretty good considering. I found out Wednesday that my cancer is stage 2.  It entered the colon's muscle wall but not the lymph nodes, :) Can you believe they sent off 40 lymph nodes to be tested? I couldn't believe it. I go Thursday for my checkup. During this time I'll be referred to an oncologist to see if chemo will be needed. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and left their well wishes during my hiatus. It's my hope to return to blogging tomorrow and visit each of your wonderful blogs.

That's a lovely shot. I'm so glad you are recovering well and that it wasn't in the lymph nodes. When I had my lymph node dissection I was also surprised how many were sent off, although I think it was only 22. In my case I only had cancer in one lymph node and it hasn't ever spread beyond that. I'm hoping you will have a long life without any more cancer ! Wishing you all the best in 2011.

Such wonderful news for you, Naquillity. My husband is home also after two weeks in the hospital. He's recuperating well. We both have good reasons to be happy. Hope you have a healthy and wonderful year.

Wow, you have been through a lot since I last visited...I hope things look up even more....so glad for you that the cancer was not in your lymph nodes.

If I ever get time again I will email you about why I have been absent....maybe in a day or two I will get to do a post but there is nothing new since Christmas eve on either of my blogs...and both the photos had been used before.

How are you feeling these days? Are you receiving chemo or radiation?

I hope all the lymph nodes were negative for cancer.

I have been at my daughter's house as much as my own the past three and a half months...I have taken very few pictures in that time, and only blogged about half the time, if even that the past while.
