Who says underexposed photos can't be salvaged? Tonight I chose a dark photo of mine and did nothing more than play with the lighting & color of the photo. I rather like the effect at play. The end result looks like a painting, doesn't it? So, what do you do with the photos you think has no potential?

kirigalpoththa actually i was in a good spot to capture the moment it was just too dark. i had my settings right but couldn't use my flash. so the result was a dark photo. still, i like the end look after playing with it in photoshop. hope you're having a great day.
hello naq, being in the right spot sez a lot in this photo... i like everything abt it... the motion of the deer, and the beauty of the flowers and grass... it doesn't appear dark to me... did you lighten it...

That does end up looking like a painting. I love the movement as if it's a moving picture of the deer. Sometimes I take shots in color that don't work well but when I change them to monochrome they do work out. Fun to play with photos and see what works best.
You did an excellent job with that.
Great view, Naquillity! Your pse knowledge is really paying off with very interesting effects. I've got a 'fuzzy' deer-on-the-move photo, and begin now to feel inspired to have a go at salvaging it... watch this space [but not just yet... I'm still posting Wild and Wonderful dragonflies!].

I don't do good work on photos I don't think. If they aren't good when I take them, I'm doomed.
I have a really hard time deleting photos, so mine are usually saved, but never used, only seen by me, lol. I do like you deer!
this is wonderful, there's such a sense of life in the movement
When I clicked on the pic to see it larger, Michelle, my impression was that of a tapestry. The graininess due to separate threads creating the image.
Ah, this does look like an impressionistic painting. Love photoshop! And it's a deer! You know my affinity for them. :)
It definitely could be a painting. I love the motion.
I've rescued some photos that way, too. I love the way this one turned out.
