Some weeks ago I was given some broccoli plants to grow in a garden I didn't have, lol. I was so excited to receive them I went out and bought some top soil a few days later. Promptly I began to plant and water the broccoli in my improvised flower box garden.
Last night I went out to water the plants and was doin' the jiggy dance when I saw my first broccoli head peeping through the green leaves. To celebrate their growth I pulled all the weeds that were sprouting too.
Please note my excitement over the growth of these plants comes from the fact I've never had a green thumb. Everytime I try to plant flowers around the house... they die. So, I fully expected the broccoli to do the same. Instead I was pleasantly surprised by this tiny growth.

Exciting. It looks delicious. I hope you will find you have green fingers, too! :-)
Wonderful! I pondered a garden, but never got around to actually doing anything. Very inspiring indeed!
I do understand that thrill, even when things 'always' succeed (which happens to no one) it's still exciting.
Hey, that is part of the fun of gardening. After nearly forty years, I still feel it every spring.
I love any growing thing - even the weeds! Good for you!
Very nice. I definitely don't have a green thumb, the only things that I can grow are weeds.
its always so exciting to see things growing!
I never lose the excitement of watching things grow. Looks like a very healthy plant!
Ecstatic, indeed - I'd be doing the happy dance, too! To be honest, the joy of watching stuff grow in my garden never really wears off.
I am with you on that..I would be so excited too....
