baby mice

Four baby mice lying in their nest. So small their eyes aren't even open yet. No fur covering their bodies either. They were huddling close together so they could stay warm. Life can be so precious if we take the time to really see it. Later that day momma placed them in another location so as not to be disturbed. Here's another photo of them when I first saw them...

My daughter caught this baby, country mouse while cleaning out the dog pen a few weeks ago. After I got this pic she decided to put it back with its family. Sometime later she spotted more baby mice. I'll share them in my next post...

fabric journal

As promised in an earlier post I'm sharing images of my first fabric journal. I didn't want to go purchase a new notebook to write my poetry in so I decided I was making a journal. I chose three different fabrics from what I already had for the cover, backing and trim. Then I took out my thread and my free motion quilting foot and began stitching together my book. I decided to use typing paper as my filler instead of buying lined sheets for me to write on. A few days later I had me a very nice, personal journal for writing. Since I didn't use a any interface I had to have my husband bring home some lightweight but stiff plastic to use as a hard surface to write on. It's easily inserted inside and works nicely. Next time I'll try using the interface to see the difference, if any. Also, I may include a pen/ pencil holder and a folder. Possibilities are endless~

Some time ago I signed up for a Google+ account and now I don't know how to use it, lol... Could one of my readers please tell me how to get started? And, could you +1 me so I could take a look at how you've created your Google+ page. Maybe if I could see someone's account I'd get a better picture of how it's run. Thanks so much for your help on this matter. Keep a watch on this space as I'm going to try again at posting regularly. I have a few photos, some writing and even a fabric journal to share with you. Have a great day everyone and don't forget to +1 me over at Google+. Just look for Naquillity Photography or click here...

Update: I have been able to friend some of you on Google+ and have figured out that +1 means you like someone's post and not that you've friended them.
