Willow
Mourning willow
Your tepid tears
Stain the earth
While tranquil clouds
Pass the threadbare field
Bestowing nature's sunlight
Upon your
Familiar weeping skin
Unburden your salty leaves
Evermore bathed in
Friendless sanction
A solitary forest
Without foreign tongued dialect
Playing on the edge of weighted consciousness
A season in repose.
My poem is an old one made from an online magnetic poetry kit. The willow/ pond is something I pass on my way to town.

Blue Heron
We were driving west on a back road yesterday when I spotted a blue heron in an open field. It stood perfectly still, unsolicited, with brisk October winds slogging across its back. The sun a poultice on its wings. It carefully eyed my intrusion upon its playground as I walked closer- camera lens extended.
Then...
It rinsed itself of my presence seeking solace in a copse of trees. Happy Monday~
